I really hate having to buy new macs every few years. Between the machines and the software it is a big investment and a whole lot of time setting things up and learning how to use it.
I usually keep my macs as long as I can. My only problem now is the browsers. Firefox, Chrome and Safari don’t seems to want to support 10.5.8. At least FF and Safari run but there are some sites I visit that don’t work well with those old versions and the new versions can’t be installed on 10.5.8.
Any suggestions on a browser that will let my macs live a little longer?

Google presents Chrome for download as either an x86_64 package or an M1 native option—which comes across as a little odd, since the M1 native version is actually a universal binary, which works on either M1 or traditional Intel Macs. Presumably, Google is pushing separate downloads due to the much smaller file size necessary for the x86_64-only package—the universal binary contains both x86_64 and ARM applications, and weighs in at 165MiB to the Intel-only package’s 96MiB.

Figuring out how to actually use Snapchat has been the tougher than I expected. It’s unlike the other social channels where you log into a feed. Upon login you’re looking through your camera. In order to find all the features, swipe:
*right – gets you to all the stories
*right again – gets you to the Discover page
*left – gets you to direct messages (snaps),
*down – gets you to your profile,
*down again gets you to your Trophy Case.
Now that you know where everything is, it’s time to start snapping. Now, here’s where it gets super tricky because there are lots of tools and tricks to create engaging snaps and there is no way I’ll be able to get to them all. However, here are a few ways to get started:
*Use the camera tool of your cell phone and simply snap a pic of yourself or something around you, or capture a video.
*OR, after you’ve enabled filters in your settings, when with the camera facing you, place your finger on your face and an array of lenses will pop up. You can take a quick pic or a video using these lenses. This is also where you can swap faces with someone, but we will leave that for a totally different post.
*After you’ve captured your image or video, you can use the tools in the upper right hand corner to add emojis, text or draw. This is where your creativity will shine!
*Now, SHARE your creation to My Story (these are public for 24 hours) or with individuals (these are private).

Pros: Snapchat is fun, engaging, not yet overcrowded and creative. There are opportunities to connect in a way that other platforms do not offer. I have been sucked in because they change out lenses every day and find it to be an out-of-the-box way to share tidbits about digital marketing {my user name is: getsusan}. I have found all the other channels have become too similar and Snapchat has been a great way to break up my social media marketing activities a bit.
Cons: It’s hard to tell at this time how small business owners can use it for sales (beyond the obvious brand-building features) and with often-limited staff and resources, it may be difficult to dedicate the time to figure it all out, and actually making snaps happen.
In conclusion, every social media channel is not right for every small business owner, and the same goes for Snapchat. It could be worth signing up and reserving your user name and playing around with it to see how you like it. Both customer success and support teams help retain customers, but there are distinct differences between the two roles. This isn’t to say one role is more important than the other.

We know, it can seem a bit counter-intuitive to charge for a product before it actually exists. However, charging early on and accepting pre-orders can help differentiate the tire kickers from qualified prospects. It also means you can get more qualified feedback and have positive cashflow earlier.

Many founders underestimate the value of their product. Ah, analysis paralysis: over-thinking something so much you aren’t able to make a decision or take action on it. Don’t be so focused on getting the pricing, features of your product, website, etc. so “perfect” that you delay the launch.

Instead, start simple with 2-3 pricing tiers and then experiment and change over time (as you get more user data and your company scales). In addition to experimenting with different price plans, you may want to test free trials or including a freemium plan.
Even existing, successful subscription-based businesses should continue to test pricing as the company grows and markets change.
Product. You probably won’t nail your product or service the first time around. And that’s ok. Ideally, you’ve simply created a Minimum Viable Product (MVP). The MVP concept was conceived and defined by Eric Ries as “that version of a new product which allows a team to collect the maximum amount of validated learning about customers with the least effort.”
The feedback loop (above) is essential. The core elements of the feedback loop are “Build, Measure, Learn.” It allows your company to constantly measure for success and make small changes based on metrics and learnings. The process has to start somewhere and will never end…
Keep. It. Simple. Whether it is your product, pricing, business description, or the signup process, be sure to keep things simple for your customers. Especially when you’re first starting your business. Many subscription companies use a “how it works” webpage to explain their subscription model. We get it, you have a new subscription business and subscribers interested enough that they’re making feature requests — it’s exciting! But you have to know when to say “no” and you need to be able to say it. More features means resources going towards creating and maintaining each added feature. And don’t forget that feature-laden products aren’t necessarily user friendly.
Focus on quality over quantity. Don’t jump the gun to satisfy one or two customers; as you grow you’ll be able to add well thought out features that are easy to use and enhance the overall customer experience.
Here are some things to consider when deciding whether to say “yes” or “no” to a new feature:
*Does the request align with the overarching product goals?
*What time/resources would be involved to create and maintain the feature?
*Review the data related to features users currently utilize and those they don’t.
*Listen to customer feedback (but be clear to determine between customers’ needs and wants).
*How user friendly with the new feature really be?
*How would it impact the existing workflow?
*How would the new feature impact existing users?
*Compare short-term value to long-term outcome

What the tile device does is turn on the duck-looking statue that previously didn’t function.
When activated, you are invisible when standing in the circle on the floor. No, you can’t be invisible everywhere.
Go up to the greenish portal, then keep going left until you reach the far end of the blue hall.

While you’re at it, fill the tray with dirt by using it on the soil.

The Life-Transferring Station is tempting, but let’s not go in there yet. Go right again.

Place the four screws in each of the four differently-colored round slots.
When they glow, that means the machine is turned on, so you can exit the screen.
The living thing is the plant. Put the potted dirtflower right on the Living Thing counter.
The dead animal is the steak, but the steak won’t survive unless it’s in dirt.
Combine the steak and the tray of dirt. Then put the tray with the steak inside right on the Dead Animal counter.
Press the green arrow to transfer the flower’s life to the steak.
Wasn’t that fun? Now take the living steak with you as you leave the room.
(You can take the potted flower too, I guess, but it’s completely useless from now on)
Exit the orange hall and go back to where the door of your room is.
Open the door by using the key card on the card key scanner next to the door.
When in your happy subject room, place the living steak where the vent shaft is.
The smell will spread. Leave the room.
Turn invisible with the statue.
Then all you have to do is close the door with the key card and the monster won’t be going anywhere.
Head right and enter the newly unblocked doorway.

As the 24 teams involved in the NHL’s Return to Play continue the prepare for the Stanley Cup Qualifiers and round-robin, exhibition games begin Tuesday with the Penguins and Flyers at 4 p.m. ET on NBCSN.
One of the biggest questions facing the Penguins is who starts Game 1 vs. the Canadiens on Saturday. Head coach Mike Sullivan said that Matt Murray will start Tuesday’s game against the Flyers and Tristan Jarry will get the second half.
The other issue has been the health of captain Sidney Crosby. After missing a few practice days he re-joined his teammates for a full skate Monday and will be a game-time decision. “We’re going to allow Sid to go through his game-day routine,” Sullivan said. “A 4 p.m. game makes it more challenging. We’ll make a decision on Sid sometime this afternoon on whether or not he’s going to play.”
For the Flyers, Carter Hart will play the first two periods and Brian Elliott will get the third, according to Alain Vigneault. The head coach also added that he will use the exhibition game to give ice time to some players who may not play regularly in the round-robin.

He continued: “My skill set, my work ethic, my skill set is just different from those guys. In my fights, it has shown.
